The addsfit MAX massage gun is one of many such massagers on Amazon and the like. According to the manufacturer, it is easy to use, reaches deep tissue, and is powered by a very strong battery. Whether this description is accurate, you will find out in the following review. Here I show you my own experiences from an intensive practical test of the massage gun.

Scope of Delivery and Attachments
The addsfit MAX massage gun is delivered in a simple cardboard box.
While the box looks rather unimpressive, the scope of delivery seems much better:
- 1 x addsfit MAX Massage Gun
- 1 x Round Head Attachment
- 1 x Flat Head Attachment with Bumps
- 1 x Fork Attachment
- 1 x Thumb Attachment
- 1 x Wedge Attachment
- 1 x Carry Bag
- 1 x Attachment Carry Bag
- 1 x Charger
- 1 x Manual
Thus, everything you need is included in the scope of delivery. Therefore, I first award full points in this category. However, I would also like to rate the attachments here. That is why I will now go into detail about them:
The round head attachment is quite versatile. However, it is particularly shaped to cushion the impact. This makes it particularly suitable for use in sensitive areas.
The flat head attachment is a universally applicable attachment. It can be used for both smaller muscle groups and large muscles. There are small nubs on the top of the attachment. These provide a special massage feeling.
The fork attachment is shaped so that it has a recess in the center. Thanks to this, bones and ligaments can be excluded during the massage. Accordingly, the attachment is used mainly along the spine, but also on the calves.
The thumb attachment is shaped similarly to the human thumb. This is to imitate a real massage as well as possible. Due to the small contact surface, the attachment is also very suitable for the massage of trigger points.
The wedge attachment is particularly suitable for the shoulder blades and IT bands. It can also be used to perform scraping movements, for example to transport lymphatic fluid.
In my experience, the most important attachments are included. Only a classic ball attachment would have been desirable. However, the existing attachments can also take over their tasks.
It is much more important to mention that the attachments differ considerably from most others. For example, the addsfit MAX only has one massage head base on which the individual attachments are mounted. In other models, each attachment has its own base. In addition, the attachments here are made of a type of silicone that is very comfortable to the touch. Others are usually made of plastic.
The addsfit MAX massage gun has the following speed levels:
- 1st Level: 1,700 rpm
- 2nd Level: 1,600 rpm
- 3rd Level: 2,200 rpm
- 4th Level: 2,800 rpm
- 5th Level: 3,200 rpm
- 6th Level: 3,200 rpm
- 7th Level: 3,200 rpm
- 8th Level: 3,200 rpm
- 9th Level: 3,200 rpm
According to the product description, the manufacturer recommends using levels 1 to 2 for warm-up, levels 3 to 7 for regular use, and levels 8 to 9 for experienced athletes. I can confirm this from my own experience.
The specified levels were well matched to the corresponding areas of application. My practical test also showed this. The lower levels felt rather gentle, while the last 3 to 4 levels, in particular, were very intense. I would only have wished that the intensity of the first levels was a little lower. But that is complaining on a high level.
The stroke length of the massage gun was also responsible for the high intensity. It has a length of about 12 mm. This is according to the distance the massage heads travel. Accordingly, even the deep tissue can be reached effortlessly.
However, there is no additional function like a force sensor or similar.
Usability and Handling
This evaluation category is divided into usability and handling on the one hand. I would like to start with the usability. This is very easy with the pistol.
In the first step, the gun is switched on via the switch on the bottom.
The motor is started by a button on the top of the massage gun. Two more buttons (“–” and “+“) let you switch through the speed levels. I find this very practical. In addition, the current level is always displayed with the lights above the three buttons.
The handling also struck me as basically positive. The gun is quite good in the hand. The biggest part of this is probably the handle, which is coated with ribbed rubber. However, this is also one of the disadvantages of the gun because it is pretty thick and can not be gripped too well.
I also have to criticize the weight of the gun. It is definitely in the upper range with approx. 2.28 lbs (1,035 g) without the attachment and 2.35 lbs (1,065 g) with the round head attachment. It can be quite exhausting to hold the massager during longer use.
For power supply, the addsfit MAX massage gun contains a 2,500 mAh battery. This is an average battery capacity for such massage devices. Normally, one battery charge is enough to operate the device for about 3 hours. This is also perfectly fine and often lasts several weeks in practice without having to recharge the battery.
When it is time to charge, the battery is indicated by the ring at the bottom of the handle. It lights up in different colors and thus indicates the battery status:
- > 40 % to 100 % Battery Charge: green lamp is on
- > 20 % to 40 % Battery Charge: red lamp is on
- 0 % to 20 % Battery Charge: red lamp flashes
Charging the battery is very simple. To do this, simply plug the power adapter into a power socket. In a few hours, the massage gun is thus ready for use again.
I would also like to positively emphasize that the battery is removable. This means that it can be replaced with a new one. Accordingly, the entire addsfit MAX massage gun does not have to be replaced if the battery is defective.
I measured the volume of the addsfit MAX massage gun from a distance of 40 cm for each individual power level. I was able to determine the following values:
- 1st Level: ~ 48 dB to 49 dB – similar to light rain
- 2nd Level: ~ 50 dB to 51 dB – similar to birds chirping
- 3rd Level: ~ 52 dB to 53 dB – similar to a radio or TV
- 4th Level: ~ 54 dB to 54.5 dB – similar to a conversation
- 5th Level: ~ 57 dB to 57.5 dB – similar to a loud conversation
- 6th Level: ~ 58 dB to 59 dB – similar to a loud conversation
- 7th Level: ~ 59 dB to 60 dB – similar to a very loud radio
- 8th Level: ~ 60 dB to 61 dB – similar to road traffic
- 9th Level: ~ 62 dB to 63 dB – similar to a open-plan office
Thus, the massager is actually very quiet on the first three levels. The medium levels are also okay in terms of volume. Only the last two to three power levels seem very loud and almost sounded a bit boomy to me. Since there is certainly room for improvement here, I deducted two points in this category.
Material and Quality
At first glance, the material used for the addsfit MAX massage gun is mainly plastic. However, if you inform yourself, you will find out that 15% fiberglass has also been mixed into the casing. Accordingly, the massage gun looks very stable as well as valuable.
Workmanship also plays a role. It is very high-quality. Accordingly, the gaps are very small. I did not notice any unclean edges in the test.
I can also only say positive things about the smell of the gun. Almost all parts are odorless. The handle smelled at the beginning very slightly like rubber. But even this smell was gone after a few (one to two) hours.
I paid €85.99 for the addsfit MAX massage gun myself. When I tested it a few weeks later, the price was around $90 to $100 on the manufacturer’s website with a coupon code activated. This puts it in the mid-price range. In this, however, it could achieve one of the best or the best results so far. Accordingly, I can definitely recommend the gun from a price-performance point of view.
Conclusion – addsfit MAX Massage Gun Review
The addsfit MAX massage gun is probably the price-performance model in my massage gun test. The massager is available at a moderate price but comes close to the top models in terms of functionality, quality, and usability.
Accordingly, the pistol has only a few drawbacks. On the one hand, these are that the device is quite heavy. On the other hand, the massage gun is very loud at higher speed levels. Therefore, it is not suitable for use in quiet environments.
Apart from these tolerable weaknesses, the addsfit MAX massage gun has many advantages. These include high quality, high-quality craft, unique attachments, a replaceable battery, and multiple power levels. To list all the advantages here would simply be too much. Therefore, you will find a list of all pros below.
If you are looking for a very good massage gun at a fair price, I can definitely recommend the addsfit MAX!
