The Bob And Brad T2 as well as the Bob And Brad X6 belong to the same brand. Visually, the two massage guns also appear quite similar. For example, they have identical colors and a similar shape. So aside from price, where are the differences between the T2 and the X6?
That’s what I want to find out in this product comparison. For this purpose, I bought both massagers myself and tested them in detail. I will also tell you which of the two massage guns I would recommend.

Scope of Delivery and Attachments
The scope of delivery of the Bob And Brad T2 and X6 is very similar. You can see that from the listing above in the comparison table. They are roughly the same length.
However, upon closer inspection, two differences are apparent:
- The flat head of the X6 has a metal surface. This means that massage oils and sports gels can also be used for massage.
- The Bob And Brad X6 comes with a charging cable, including a power adapter. The Bob And Brad T2, on the other hand, comes without a power adapter but only with a USB-C cable for charging. On the other hand, the T2 can thus be charged with common cell phone charging cables.
The Bob And Brad X6 is thus slightly ahead here for me, even though the scope of delivery of the Bob And Brad T2 is also on a high level! Thus, all important massage attachments are included with both massage guns.
Functionality
There are also only marginal differences in functionality between the two devices. This is already evident in the power levels. Both the Bob And Brad X6 and the Bob And Brad T2 have five power settings. These are also equally distributed in both massage guns. The levels of both devices have the following impact frequencies:
- 1st Level: 2,000 rpm
- 2nd Level: 2,300 rpm
- 3rd Level: 2,600 rpm
- 4th Level: 2,900 rpm
- 5th Level: 3,200 rpm
Thus, the frequency range is not too large. In addition, the shock frequency of 2,000 strokes per minute at the lowest level is quite high after all. Beginners might have problems with this intensity. On the other hand, the intervals have been chosen very well. Thus, clear differences between the levels are noticeable, but they are not too strong.
The impact depth of the Bob And Brad X6 is 10.5 mm. With the T2 from Bob And Brad is 10 mm. Accordingly, both massage guns do not belong to the top here and only reach the deep tissue to a limited extent. This is a clear weakness!
Usability
There is a clear tie between the T2 and X6 when it comes to usability.
Both massagers have only a single button for the entire control. When this is held down, the motor in the massage gun starts. The motor can also be switched off again in the same way. By simply pressing the button while the massage gun is switched on, you can switch through the stages. The currently used level is indicated by small lamps above the button.
The operation of the T2 and X6 thus corresponds to the quasi-standard for massage guns and is very easy to learn!
Handling
In terms of handling, the biggest difference between the Bob And Brad T2 and the Bob And Brad X6 is the weight. The T2 weighs only 1.59 lbs (723 g) without the attachment and 1.64 lbs (744 g) with the ball attachment. The X6 is considerably heavier, weighing 1.97 lbs (893 g )without the attachment and 2.02 lbs (918 g) with the ball attachment. This is also noticeable during handling. Especially longer massages are much more strenuous with the X6 than with the T2.
The handle of both massage guns is identical. It is elongated. This makes it very easy to grip. It is also covered with rubber. This prevents the massage gun from slipping out of the hand too easily when there is sweat on it.
Power Supply
For the power supply, the T2 houses a battery with a capacity of 4,000 mAh. This is an extraordinarily good value. Accordingly, the battery lasts for several hours. However, exactly how long the battery runtime depends on the used level. On average, the runtime should be somewhere between 3 and 5 hours.
The battery capacity in the X6 is 2,500 mAh. This is also still a decent value, even if it does not come close to that of the T2. The runtime is thus around 2 to 3 hours on average. That is also alright.
The current battery status is displayed on both models via four small lights. These are located at the bottom of the handle. The more of them light up, the fuller the battery is. The following applies:
- 75 % to 100 % battery charge: four lamps light up
- 50 % to 75 % battery charge: three lamps light up
- 25 % to 50 % battery charge: two lamps light up
- 10 % to 25 % battery charge: one lamp lights up
- 0 % to 10 % battery charge: one lamp flashing
Thus, the battery status display is quite accurate.
There are, again, differences when charging the battery. The X6 Pro uses the included power adapter. This has a special port. The T2, on the other hand, is charged with a USB-C cable. This offers more flexibility. However, an additional power adapter (e.g. from a cell phone) is needed for charging at a power outlet.
The battery is not replaceable in either the Bob And Brad T2 or the Bob And Brad X6 Pro. This is a disadvantage, as the entire massage gun has to be replaced in case of a defect. There are deductions for this!
Noise
I measured the volume for all devices in my massage gun test from a distance of 40 meters. This also applies to the two models from Bob and Brad. I determined the following values for the T2:
- 1st Level: ~ 57 dB to 59 dB – similar to a vacuum cleaner (on low level)
- 2nd Level: ~ 52 dB to 53 dB – similar to a conversation
- 3rd Level: ~ 52 dB to 53 dB – similar to a conversation
- 4th Level: ~ 53 dB to 54 dB – similar to a conversation
- 5th Level: ~ 53 dB to 54 dB – similar to a conversation
The X6, on the other hand, reached the following volume levels:
- 1st Level: ~ 53 dB to 54 dB – similar to a conversation
- 2nd Level: ~ 53 dB to 54 dB – similar to a conversation
- 3rd Level: ~ 53 dB to 54 dB – similar to a conversation
- 4th Level: ~ 54 dB to 55 dB – similar to a loud TV or radio
- 5th Level: ~ 58 dB to 59 dB – similar to a vacuum cleaner (on low level)
Thus, both massage guns are not in the upper range, but they are not particularly loud either. Rather, the T2 and the X6 are in a very similar, good range. In my opinion, the massagers are still a bit too loud for a relaxing massage.
Material and Quality
The material of the Bob And Brad T2, as well as Bob And Brad X6, is primarily plastic. This is the case with most massage guns. Nevertheless, the T and the X6 look very high-quality and sturdy. So the two models don’t take anything from each other here. Nor can I criticize anything.
The latter also applies to workmanship. I could not find any flaws or defects here either. I also could not discover any sharp or unclean edges.
However, the T2 lags behind in terms of smell. It smells very strongly chemical and like rubber. This is probably due to the handle. The X6 also has a rubber coating, but it does not smell as strongly of chemicals.
Price
The Bob And Brad T2 cost me €95. This is also a common price for the device (~ $90).
The Bob And Brad X6 Pro was a lot more expensive for me at 115 €. At a similar price it was also available later to my test ($139.99).
All in all, both massage guns are good value for money for me. If you’re on a tight budget, the T2 will be perfectly adequate in most cases. If you’d like a slightly more powerful device, you should pay a bit more and go for the X6.
Conclusion – Bob And Brad T2 vs X6
The Bob And Brad T2 and the Bob And Brad X6 are in a real head-to-head race. This is also reflected in my rating, which is very similar for both massage guns. Accordingly, it is difficult for me to make a recommendation for one or the other model here.
First of all, both models have a lot in common. Both devices are made of plastic, are cleanly manufactured, have an ergonomic rubber handle, and have five power settings. The volume is also on a very similar level.
The differences, on the other hand, are only marginal, so you’ll have to decide for yourself based on those which massage gun better suits your needs:
- The Bob And Brad T2 is a bit cheaper and thus suitable for a lower budget. It also has a larger battery and is lighter. However, you have to make sacrifices in terms of performance. Thanks to USB-C, the T2 can also be charged with common cell phone charging cables.
- The Bob And Brad X6, on the other hand, is more powerful but also costs more money. It also ships with a metal attachment. This also allows oils or gels to be used during the massage. The battery here can only be charged via a special charging cable.
